Proper Grit Whiskey Library & Supper Club, where chophouse favorites inspired by Florida’s seasonal produce and proteins are polished off with a glass of smooth barrel-aged whiskey in a relaxed public house setting. Oversize banquets line the restaurant’s west wall, inviting guests to convene for everything from a celebratory gathering to an intimate dinner for two. At the north end, a grand cocktail bar wraps around the building’s exterior, where outdoor seating and additional bar space allow patrons to enjoy the breeze from the adjacent Intracoastal waterway.

Executive Chef Marc Rosen presents a menu of creatively prepared and chef-inspired seasonal selections and chophouse offerings, finished off with a fun and memorable presentation, and complemented by an expansive menu of both high-demand and hard-to-find whiskeys and inventive craft cocktails. With everything from butcher-block selections such as ribeye, veal chops, and Peking duck, to vegan main plates and shareable such as spaghetti squash and balsamic-soaked Gratitude Farm mushroom, Proper Grit offers an experience for every diner and drinker, all to be enjoyed in a relaxed-yet-refined speakeasy-esque setting that pays homage to Old Florida’s regal beginnings.
